Alaska
Made it back from Alaska last night -- it was a great trip, but it's good to be home and see Shirley and Izzy again.
My flight was difficult because our hike in Alaska (hours before my flight) left me absolutely soaked. I attempted to dry off as best I could using our truck's heater, but that didn't entirely do the trick. I arrived at the Anchorage airport looking (and probably smelling) like it was my first encounter with civilization. 24 hours later, I was in Charlottesville and desperate for a shower. As luck would have it, our house had no running water. The city had attempted to turn off our neighbor's water, but had managed to turn of ours instead. The only upside to this is that I figured out how to cut our water back on, in a manhole by the street. I figure I can turn this knowledge into a profitable utility theft service. :)
